The Education and Training in Optics and Photonics (ETOP) conference, held every two years, serves as a global gathering dedicated to advancing the teaching of optics and photonics. Bringing together participants from diverse educational backgrounds, disciplines, and professional roles, ETOP fosters a vibrant exchange of ideas, experiences, and innovations in education across all levels—from secondary school to graduate programs, as well as vocational and industry training.

The conference features a rich program of presentations, plenaries, panel discussions and workshops, all designed to inform and inspire professors, students, teachers, and professional trainers. Its mission is to explore and share effective strategies and tools for teaching optics and photonics in ways that prepare learners for the future of science, technology, and industry. ETOP is not only a platform for learning but also a community that shapes the future of optics and photonics education through collaboration and shared vision.
